Alcohol Information. Here’s some basic alcohol information: if you drink excessively over time, you will probably suffer from alcohol abuse or alcoholism.
Is there any information about the effects alcohol has on adults with Asperger’s?
….Such as what impact does alcohol consumption have upon those adults with Asperger’s?
I dont know about and studies, but I can tell you first hand from someone who has it and what happens when I drink. I get anxiety and shut down. I dont get wild or relaxed like many. So its just one reason for me not to drink anyway.

What is the most important alcohol information that an individual can apply in his or her daily life? Might it be that one instance of binge drinking can result in a fatal alcohol overdose? Perhaps it is knowing the difference between alcohol abuse and alcoholism.
Some people would say that the most important bit of alcohol information is the fact that the earlier an individual begins drinking the more likely he or she will engage in excessive and abusive drinking? On the other hand, maybe it is knowing about fetal alcohol syndrome and how to avoid this totally preventable disease.
From a different perspective, some would argue that the most important bit of alcohol information is that alcohol abuse can and does eventually lead to alcohol addiction.
While all of the above topics are significant and relevant, I believe that the most important bit of alcohol information that we can incorporate into our daily lives is this: drinking to an excess, even if it is one time, often results in unhealthy and damaging outcomes.

Sandra was a senior at a small rural liberal arts college located in the Southern part of the U.S. After she realized that she had been feeling rundown for the past two weeks, she decided to go to the student health center to see what could be done about her low energy level.
While waiting to talk to the nurse, she noticed a display across from where she was sitting. The title of the display was as follows: “What is Your Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Information IQ?” This title was so interesting that Sandra walked over and began taking an “alcohol information test.”
Out of 40 questions, Sandra answered 18 questions correctly. It only stands to reason that she was would be interested in knowing the questions she missed, so she kept on reading so she could discover the correct answers. Soon after taking the test, she was seen by the nurse.
When Sandra went into the nurse’s office she stated that she thought she knew more about alcohol abuse and alcoholism than her test results demonstrated. The nurse laughed and mentioned that most students who take the test virtually say the same thing. Question. Is it possible that a reduced alcohol information IQ might adversely influence the drinking behavior of college students?

While waiting to see her healthcare practitioner, Nancy started to read an article in the Wall Street Journal about alcoholism, alcohol abuse, binge drinking, and the need to teach more relevant alcohol information in our educational system.
One of the things that immediately captured Nancy’s attention was the fact that most of the alcohol that teenagers and preteens drink is purchased by older friends and relatives. “Do these individuals think they are honestly doing the young persons a favor when they purchase their alcohol for them?” Nancy thought to herself.
Another thing that Nancy learned was that there is a difference between alcohol abuse and alcoholism. This was important because Nancy honestly thought that these two forms of abusive drinking behavior were the same. Overall, Nancy was pleased that she read this article because she learned some important alcohol abuse and alcoholism information while waiting to see her physician.

Augie and Claudia have been married for eighteen years. Even before they got married they decided that when they started a family, they would home-school their children. Now that they have four young daughters, at times their house often resembles a small classroom or a nursery.
When the girls got to the age of six, Augie and Claudia decided that they would start teaching them about some basic alcohol abuse and alcoholism information. They certainly didn’t go into any great detail because of the girls’ young age. Some seeds were planted, however, that stressed avoiding things that can harm a person in any way, respecting one’s body, and being responsible for one’s actions. Augie and Claudia provided the girls with easy-to-understand examples and fortunately, the girls seemed to understand most of this basic, yet relevant alcohol information.
Augie and Claudia figured that by instructing their children about the dangers and health hazards of abusive and excessive drinking, their girls might have a solid foundation that can ward off the temptations of teenage drinking.

Elaine has worked at the local social services agency for the past thirteen years. Besides providing residents with information about child support, unemployment compensation, food stamps, and employment, the agency therapists also provide various types of counseling.
While many residents seek counseling in areas such as financial management, time management, crisis management, and anger management, Elaine and the other therapists have learned that they do more alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse counseling than any other type of therapy.
Indeed, it appears that a lot of the residents are not only in need of counseling for their alcohol problems, but many people in the general population also seek alcohol information so they can better cope with a family member or a relative who is an alcoholic or an alcohol abuser.

Are we bombarded with so much information about alcohol abuse and alcoholism that we have created a situation best described as “information overload?” Is there too much to understand regarding alcohol alcoholism and alcohol abuse information?
Can it accurately be said that the more information there is about alcohol treatment, the better? Is there simply too much information for most teenagers and adults to sort through and “digest” regarding basic alcohol information?
Maybe it’s time for our educators to develop a “Cliff Notes” version of alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction information. Such a short pamphlet could center on disseminating the message that drinking even once in a hazardous an abusive manner can be damaging and in some cases can lead to a fatality. Examples of the latter include alcohol poisoning and alcohol related traffic fatalities.

What is the most relevant and important alcohol information that an individual can apply to his or her life? Is that alcohol abuse can and does eventually transition into alcoholism? Perhaps it is the fact that the earlier an individual begins to drink the more likely he or she will engage in excessive and abusive drinking.
On the other hand, some would argue that the most important bit of alcohol information is knowing the difference between alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency. In a somewhat different way, while some individuals might claim that the most significant alcohol information is knowing about fetal alcohol syndrome, others might argue that it is knowing that one instance of binge drinking can result in an alcohol overdose.
While all of these topics are significant and pertinent, I believe the most important and relevant bit of alcohol information that we can apply to our daily lives is this: drinking in an abusive and excessive manner, even if it is one time, frequently results in damaging and unhealthy consequences.
